Princess Lala's open trip leaves Labuan Bajo every Monday & Friday. Each departure carries two fares: three days from IDR 3,250,000 (≈ USD 199) per person, and two days from IDR 2,750,000 (≈ USD 169); sailings up to 31 December 2026 cost IDR 100,000 (≈ USD 6) less. Dates are published to the end of July 2027; from August 2027 they are on request.

What a departure morning looks like

Every open trip on Princess Lala begins the same way, on a Monday or a Friday, with a car at your door. We collect you from your hotel in Labuan Bajo or from the airport between 10:30 and 11:55, and your guide confirms the exact time the evening before, so you can eat breakfast without watching the clock.

On board you are handed your cabin key, the crew runs a short safety briefing, and the first lunch is served at the long table. By the afternoon you are climbing to the viewpoint on Kelor.

A little planning makes that morning easy. Arrive in town the day before you sail, so a delayed flight does not cost you the boat. Pack a soft bag in place of a hard suitcase. And put these in it:

  • shoes with grip for Padar and Kelor
  • swimwear, and a light layer for the evening
  • reef-safe sunscreen and a hat
  • your own fins, if you snorkel with them
  • cash for park fees and tips

If you are bringing a child or a grandparent, tell us their ages when you ask about a date. It changes which cabin we suggest, not which day you leave.

The calendar for 2026 and 2027

The pattern is simple: every Monday & Friday.

For the rest of 2026 the boat leaves each Monday and Friday to 28 December, except Monday 26 and Friday 30 October 2026, which are not offered. The calendar below shows every date we sell.

In 2027 the dates follow the same Monday and Friday pattern, from Friday 1 January to Friday 30 July, and all of them are open for booking now. For sailings from August 2027, dates and fares are on request: tell us the week you have in mind and we reply.

It runs by year and month. Each entry gives the day you leave and the day the three-day sailing returns, with a short note beside a date when few cabins are left or the sailing is full. The button beside a date opens a WhatsApp message to us that ends with that date; fill in the blanks and send it.

Two trips on one sailing

Each departure carries two sets of guests, who eat together for two days and then part. Both walk the viewpoint on Kelor, snorkel at Manjarite, watch the fruit bats off Kalong, climb Padar, follow a ranger on the dragon walk, swim at Pink Beach, drift at Manta Point and stand on the sandbar at Taka Makassar.

Then the two-day guests go ashore, between 19:00 and 20:30 on day two. The three-day guests stay for dinner, a second night, breakfast and Kanawa, and are back in Labuan Bajo between 10:00 and 11:00 on day three. Both eat lunch and dinner on day one and breakfast and lunch on day two; dinner that evening and breakfast on day three belong to the three-day guests.

The three-day fare per person runs from IDR 3,250,000 (≈ USD 199) in Cabin 3, which shares a bathroom, to IDR 4,750,000 (≈ USD 291) in Cabin 1, with Cabins 2, 4 and 5 at IDR 3,800,000 (≈ USD 233) and Cabin 6 at IDR 4,650,000 (≈ USD 285). The table below lists each cabin with its deck, its three-day fare, its two-day fare and the extra-bed fare for a third guest on the three-day sailing. These are fares for sailings from 1 January 2027.

On the open trip the park's quota decides between Padar and Gili Lawa, and between Komodo and Rinca, so if one island is the reason for your trip, say so when you write and we tell you what we can and cannot hold.

The two-day fares, and the lower fare for 2026

The two-day column of the table above belongs to the guests who leave on the second evening. Their fare per person is IDR 2,750,000 (≈ USD 169) in Cabin 3, IDR 3,400,000 (≈ USD 209) in Cabins 2, 4 and 5, IDR 4,250,000 (≈ USD 261) in Cabin 6 and IDR 4,450,000 (≈ USD 273) in Cabin 1, and the table below gives the extra-bed fare for a third guest on the two-day trip.

Both tables show the fares for sailings from 1 January to 31 July 2027; if you sail before the year turns, the last row of the table below is the one for you.

So the date you choose sets the fare in two ways. It sets the year, and it sets how many cabins are still free. There is one Cabin 3 and one of each master cabin, Cabin 1 and Cabin 6. When one is taken, there is no other like it on that sailing.

Park fees are paid separately on every date: IDR 250,000 a day for each international visitor, before the ranger and other levies.

Flights and hotel nights around your date

A departure date is really three dates: the day you land in Labuan Bajo, the day you sail and the day you fly out. Here is how we would set them.

Before. Come the day before. Pickup is between 10:30 and 11:55, and a morning flight that runs late puts the boat at risk.

After the three-day sailing. You are back in Labuan Bajo between 10:00 and 11:00 on day three, with a transfer to your hotel or the airport. Book flights that leave after 13:00.

After the two-day sailing. You land between 19:00 and 20:30 on day two. Stay the night in Labuan Bajo.

If your plans move. Changing to another Monday or Friday is free 30 days or more before departure, costs IDR 500,000 from 14 to 29 days before, and counts as a cancellation inside 14 days.

FAQ

Which October 2026 dates are not offered?

Monday 26 and Friday 30 October 2026 are not offered. The sailings before them are Monday 19 and Friday 23 October 2026, and the calendar shows every date we sell. From November she leaves every Monday & Friday to the end of the year.

What time does the open trip leave on a Monday or Friday?

We collect you between 10:30 and 11:55 on day one, from your hotel in Labuan Bajo or from the airport, and your guide confirms the exact time the evening before. Lunch is the first thing that happens on board. The transfer is part of the fare, which starts at IDR 3,250,000 (≈ USD 199) per person for three days.

Can I join the open trip on another day of the week?

No. The open trip leaves only on Monday & Friday. If your dates fall on other days, the alternative is a private charter, which sails on any date the boat is free and starts at IDR 31,750,000 (≈ USD 1,948) for two days with up to four guests. Tell us your dates and we will say which of the two fits.

When will dates from August 2027 be published?

Dates and fares are published to 31 July 2027. From August 2027 both are on request: write to us with the week you want and we reply. The current three-day fare starts at IDR 3,250,000 (≈ USD 199) per person.

Should I fly into Labuan Bajo on the morning of departure?

We advise against it. Pickup is between 10:30 and 11:55, and a flight that lands late that morning leaves no margin. Arrive the day before, sleep in Labuan Bajo and let us collect you from your hotel. If you have to move to another sailing, the change is free 30 days or more before departure and costs IDR 500,000 from 14 to 29 days before.

Can I book a Komodo trip for 2027 already?

Yes. The Monday and Friday sailings from January to July 2027 are on the calendar, and a private charter can be reserved for any date in 2027. The fares on this site are the published fares for sailings from 1 January to 31 July 2027. For sailings after 31 July 2027, ask us for the price. If a fare changes before your balance is due, we tell you first and you can cancel without charge.
